As I said in my first article that we deal with fashion in our everyday’s life I would like to point out that everyone of you has to decide for her/himself what fashion means for him/her.

It’s great to read and to know about all those fashionable and stylish trends but the most important is to feel comfortable and happy with being just you.

Don’t try to find yourself and become happier while trying out the latest catwalk trend which is supposed to be THE must have of the season – It would never work.

With my blog, I only wanted to inform you about the things which might be interesting and possibly new for you. I wanted to show you how to combine and to wear particular clothings and just tried to give you an understanding what fashion means for me.

Now, it’s up to you to follow the trends or not but the most attractive is WHO you really are and not HOW you look today.

So, just be yourself and don’t try to hole up behind the shallow and flashy world of fashion.

Men’s fashion trend – HATS

MEN GOTTA HAVE IT!!!

As we recently had and still going to have the coldest weeks of the winter 2009 / 2010, this stylish trend is absolutely essential for all men.

It is one of the latest and most important fashion trends for the winter season 2010:

The HAT.

Of course, there are several hat styles which change from season to season.

They are also available in a great variety of textures and colors…real stylish fashion icons have been seen from Hollywood to London, Japan to Milan, stocking up on this must-have fashion accessory.

There are three must have styles for the upcoming season: Fedora, Newsboy hats and Kangol caps.

The most important for this trend: Looks great and Keeps your brain warm.

1. Fedora

Actually, never really goes out of style – nowadays, not only a trend for men.

A serious and great look with suits and business outfits, incredibly mystirious with trenchcoats or longer jackets – “Detective style”.

More casual texture fits to more casual look as well.

Available in a really great variety of fabrics, colours, styles and sizes.

2. Newsboy hats

“Newsboys” are often associated with newspaper boys or rich golf players.

Fits great to more casual style with jeans and leather jacket. Not really appropriate for elegant suits.

I, personally, don’t really like this model. For me, it looks too casual and boyish. Prefer rather the old good Fedora as it has more that stylish and elegant look even if combined with jeans and shredded shirt.

3. Kangol caps

Kangol, a clothing company founded in 1938 in England is most famous for its line of men’s hats.

Kangol has several models and various materials in their collection. This season especially wool hats or caps with checked or striped pattern are going to be a must have.

Furthermore, Kangol hats are available in fabrics such as wool, leather and fur and should be worn with a lot of confidence. Wear it with jeans and leather for the day or with a casual suit for the evening.

It’s out of question, that hats are not for everyone but whether you choose to wear a hat to cover your head or simply to add an eyecatcher to your high fashion outfit – the sharp increase in popularity of caps and hats is a great thing and an interesting possibility to complete and pimp your look with a versatile accessory that will surely draw many glowing looks and compliments on yor new style.

LEATHER TAKES THE LEAD

From London to Milan, from New York to Paris, leather clothing is going to be the next must have trend of the season.

From leather skirts, leather coats, leather jackets to even leather underwear…Leather can be worn in any season and to any occasion.

So, please, mix it up.

Sexy hot styles with the serious business look and elegance with the wild crazy rock&roll look – everything is possible and allowed.

It is the same for leather underwear (for men and women):

The hottest trends are going to be leather pants, leather corsages, leather straps and leather bras with fetish bondage elements.

The most important and favourite colour for leather clothes will be the basic black.

With the black leather jacket you are absolutely on the safe side as it has always been in style, would last many seasons and can be worn to any other garment, whether elegant dress or domina shoes, it just fits.

As we already had the leather leggings in the previous season, different and more leather accessories will definitely be a great part of the coming fashion must haves.

As we had the best dressed women of 2009 in my last article, I think it’s obvoious that

we, now, have to take a look on the overview of the best dressed men of 2009, as well.

They, also, impressed with their extremely stylish outfits throughout the year 2009.

So, today, I would like to present you the Top 5 of the best dressed men of 2009 by GQ’s magazine.

1. MARK RONSON

Mark Daniel Ronson is an English guitarist, music producer, artist and co-founder of Allido Records. Ronson received a Grammy nomination in early December 2007 for ‘Producer of the Year, Non Classical’. Later, Ronson received three nominations for the Brit Awards, including ‘Best Male Solo Artist’, ‘Best Album’ (Version) and ‘Song of the Year’ (“Valerie”). 2. GUY RITCHIE

Guy Stuart Ritchie is an English screenwriter and filmmaker. His first full-length feature was the successful Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels in 1998. Another project Guy Ritchie was involved with was a hidden camera show called Swag, for channel Five in the UK, which turned the table on criminals and opportunists by using stunts to trap them in the act. 4. DANIEL CRAIG

With my today’s article, I would like to present you the first 5 best dressed women of 2009 to see how they used and combined (or not) the latest fashion trends I presented to you during the last few weeks.

Pop stars, first leadies, models and newcomers – in December 2009 the Vogue presented the highly anticipated list of trend setters who left a lasting impression throughout 2009 with their expressive, stylish and unique high fashion outfits and affirmed their own sense of style.

1. ALEXA CHUNG

Alexa Chung is an English television presenter who most recently hosted MTV’s It’s On with Alexa Chung in the United Kingdom. See through or sheer fabric trend

Sheer fabric fashion is one of my absolutely favourite and one of the hottest fashion trends in 2010…

Transparent fabrics such as tulle or chiffon romantic, elfin, seductive, hot and elegant at the same time…

And elegance really is the key to wearing the sheer fashion trend this year.

But for all those who can’t image wearing a completely sheer blouse while showing all your body, this year there are a lot of alternatives in form of e.g. sheer accessories or see through highlights in your outfit.

You can decide whether you want an “wooow”- eye-catching-effect with a transparent chiffon dress or top or you choose a more conservative version with only sheer ruffles, sleeves or standing collar.

It’s also possible to put a contrast top or dress underneath your sheer blouse or coat for comfortable feeling of being “dressed” and still looking fashionable and trendy.

Of course, please don’ t enjoy too much of this gorgeous romantic sheer trend and combine only one transparent garment with another pieces of different structure.

So you will definitely become a trendy, sexy, romantic, seductive and elegant part of this awesome fashion trend.

ONE SHOULDER IS ABSOLUTELY BETTER THAN TWO THIS SEASON…

This trend started already on the fashion shows’ catwalks of 2009.

But in 2010 this assymetrical striking fashion trend continues to be one of the most important must-haves for all trendy women.

Whether you are looking for a mini cocktail dress, an elegant chiffon blouse or a more casual maxi dress, nowadays you will find a great assortment of dresses or outer clothing to choose from in the one-shoulder silhouette.

How to wear one shoulder dresses and tops?

- choose bright and striking colours

- combine your assymetric garment with massive accesories (e.g. bracelets)

- keep your accessories simple (don’t mix too much) but still sexy

- strapless bra for the open shoulder is crucial

- everything is allowed: mini, maxi, elegant, simple, romantic and sexy

- long-sleeve top for the day or a slim strap dress for the night

It’s party time

As the festive season and also the party time nears, it is important to know which make up trends are IN for the last party days in this year 2009.

After my last trend articles, you should know now, what to wear and what not.

But what is THE make up look for the party season during the last days in 2009???

MAKE UP TREND = SMOKEY EYES

You would need: eyeliner, two or three different eye shadows and mascara.

This could be the perfect shadow palette for smokey eyes:

Apply a light shadow (silver, ivory, shimmering beige) over the whole eye area up to the brows.

Then, take the medium colour (should be of the similar colour shade) and apply over the eyelid.

Lastly, take the darkest shade or eye liner, apply close to the lash line and smudge with a large brush so you have a nice diffused line.

Apply the eyeliner at the lower lid as well.

And, of course, lots of mascara!!!

Please, be careful with the choice of the appropriate eyeshadow for your eye colour.

Blue Eyes: Gray, violet, taupe, purple, deep blue, silver, fuchsia, turquoise, and green. Blue eyes pop with bronze eye shadow!

Green Eyes: Red and pink tones enhance green eyes because it is the complimentary color to green. Copper, coral, apricots, deep browns, plum and purple. Gold jewelry really enhances green eyes as well!

Brown Eyes: Green, champagne, bronze, gold, brown, blue, green, and purple. Rich golds and metallics really make brown eyes pop. Primary colors such as royal blue, crimson red, lime, and bright yellow.

The year 2009 draws to a close and could inform during the last few week about different latest trends in the world of fashion.

You’ve already read the title of my new article and might wonder what does this mean?

Seriously, as you already should know, there are also trends which are more or less not for everyone or even sometimes not for anyone at all.

So, today I’ll present you my favourite worst and ugliest trends or just outfits you should better not copy.

1.HEADBANDS AND OTHER HAIRPIECES

Influenced by the 80′s there suddenly arose these weird headpieces in different colours.

I mean, yes, they ARE great and striking as long as you are THE star on the red carpet.

Since most of us are not, I would say, we WILL NOT IMITATE this weird trend but just take a look at.

2. REAL OVERSIZE BAGS

And I mean not our usual oversize bag where we can find everything and anything at the same time. But recently, I’ ve seen overoveroversize bags which reminds me of a trendy garbage sack or a body bag rahter than of something functional.

Nobody has that much to carry unless you are travelling away for the entire week or even a month.

3. OPEN TOE BOOTS

Actually, I love open toe or peep toe shoes. But only in form of pumps or elegant high heels.

I think it’s a very crazy trend and is absolutely not for everyone.

For me, they really look like: “They did not have these boots in my size, so I’ve bought them but snipped up the toecap”

Furthermore, I’m sure, they’re too warm for the summer but too cold for the winter as my toes are freezing…

I mean, it’s your choise but I would not recommend this kind of shoes as there are much more really gorgeous shoes for women to wear.

These three worst trends are really avoidable and I hope I could help you to go a long way round.
